Bromont Takes Flight Again: Inauguration of the New Runway at Roland-Désourdy Airport

We are pleased to highlight the completion of the Summer 2025 project at the Roland-Désourdy Airport in Bromont: after several months of work, the new runway was officially inaugurated at the end of September 2025.

Thanks to a collaboration between the municipalities of Bromont, Granby, and Cowansville, as well as multiple government partners, the construction began in spring 2025. Representing an investment of approximately $10 million, the project has fully modernized the runways and taxiways, improving aircraft movement efficiency and strengthening safety.
